Afternoon host Felisha Monet is departing Cox Media Group Urban “99 Jamz” WEDR Miami after a decade at the station.
The Fort Lauderdale Sun-Sentinel reports that Monet is exiting to focus on her nonprofit “I Am Greater Than Yesterday”, telling the paper “I am excited to start this new chapter in my life and career. Having a long career with 99 Jamz was a dream and a goal – and I’m happy that I can place a check mark next to that. I’m excited about what’s happening next – and eager to enter into the next chapter.”
Monet joined WEDR in 2008 and moved her way up from overnights to nights replacing DJ Khaled and then afternoons.
